I know what you’re thinking. “Glen, I love Filmkid.com so much that I want to buy things from it. How can I give you my hard earned money?”

Well faithful Filmkid.com reader(Nick, Shaun, and Rocco) I give you http://www.filmkid.com/zencart/ Yep. Now Filmkid.com has it’s own online store thanks to the cats at Zencart. I’m still working out the finer points of running an online store, so there’s not much up there just yet. In fact there’s only two products listed as of this post.

1. Pre-orders for the DVD (which you can’t order just yet, but soon, I promise.)

2. The buttons we had made for the premiere (and there’s only four of them. Act now, while supplies last)

So there you go. Since we don’t have the bank account for Filmkid LLC set up just yet we can’t offer the pre-orders for the DVD, or really anything else. And we can only accept money via paypal, but when the accounts are all in place we’ll be able to take direct CC orders and checks and whatnot.

The buttons are just a test, and the four that are for sale have been recently harvested from the lapels of some of my suit jackets so you’re not really getting them from Filmkid LLC, you’re getting them from me.

If you want a little piece of Filmkid history then check out the store and get a button so I at least know it’s working.

Last night Dieck and I split a much deserved bottle of Double Bastard Ale to celebrate finally getting the DVD finished. After literally years of work the movie is as done as it’s ever going to be. We burnt the master and it’s ready to go off to Discmakers as soon as we get some of the final paperwork in order. (Silly things like setting up a bank account for Filmkid, getting money to put in said account, etc.) But at least it’s only a slight delay and we know how to get over this one.

Feels good to be done. Now it’s time to start this mess all over again with Grim Mary.

*sigh*

While filming we jokingly came up with titles for the never-would-be sequel to Several Ways to Die Trying. My favorite was “Even More Ways to Die Trying” followed closely by “Several Ways to Die Harder”.

Whatever the fake name you want to give it here’s the plot of the sequel:

A director and an editor want to kill themselves because they can’t fix a damn layer break on their DVD and release their movie to the world after two freakin years.

Tomorrow we’ll be finished, even if the disc doesn’t work and looks like crap it’s done. I’m sending it to Discmakers Thursday morning in the condition it’s in by the time I leave Dieck’s Wednesday night- or I’m blowing myself up.

I’ve decided to keep my personal business out of the Filmkid.com News section, so I’ve set up glen.filmkid.com for those of you who are interested in anything I have to say not directly related to my writing/filmmaking “career” Yes, in quotes because as of yet I haven’t made dime one.

As promised, here’s me as a clown.Glen Clown, Eric Super Trooper

Yes, even as a clown I wear suits. This was fairly late into the evening so the make-up had seen better days, but truthfully of all my clown-related skills (juggling, big feet, etc.) face painting is not my best. In an homage to Caesar Romero* I also didn’t shave the facial hair before applying the grease paint.

Oh, who’s the cat jumping into the picture you ask? Why Eric Smith of course. There’s this great story about how I stole his girlfriend and married her, but you can find that elsewhere on the web. (Like at I Sure Do which will soon enough be here at Wordpress[sorry google])

Eric turned 25 on Saturday so to celebrate we dressed silly and drank. I got him a great present, but unfortunately forgot it here at home. This is cause for another trip to Philly where I may or may not dress up like a clown, but I’ll almost definitely be dressed in a suit.

*Oh, you thought I was going to explain who Caesar Romero was. No. You’re online. Look it up.
