I don’t know if you use it, but Google Checkout is now an option in the store. If you do a lot of online shopping it’s probably worth it to sign up. The important thing to remember here is that I am a huge fan of Google, and actually felt guilty about using Wordpress over Blogger to run this site. So I’m happy to finally be bringing a little Google back.

What are you doing December 18th?

Are you going to Corio in New York City and partying it up for Filmkid’s first DVD release party? Heck yes you are. Doors open at 8pm. Be there or be squarer than if you used the phrase “Be there or be square” to announce your DVD release party.

Can’t/Don’t want to make it into NYC for the party? Don’t worry. We’ll be doing on Jersey-side too for all you suburban Filmkids too.

Much love for Lopatcong NJ.

Since it’s 22 degrees outside and snowing I thought it would be appropriate to branch out from just T-shirts because, baby, it’s cold outside. Now you can get yourself a Several Ways to Die Trying hoodie, just like Keith Tickle who received the first one for his birthday.

When I took this picture I told him to look off the side. “Because your site needs more emo pictures?” He asked.

Yes, Keith. We do.

And if your asking yourself if the hoodies are comfortable…

… I think that answers that.

Head over to the store and pick one up.

Here’s the final designs for the buttons. They’re all one inch, and they’re all in the store, and if you pre-order the DVD, you get the whole set for free. There’s also rumors of these being handed out at events like DVD release parties. Just what I heard.

T-shirts are now officially available. But not just T-shirts. Since I’ve been doing all the screen printing myself I can put the logo on pretty much anything…

…including ‘onesies’

baby_billboard1.jpg

You may remember my nephew and most adorable acquaintance, Anthony, from my earlier post about his birth. Today he started his new career as a professional model by sporting this comfortable and stylish Several Ways to Die Trying “It’s not the fall that hurts” onesie. He really got into it, and even put his arms out to imitate the drawing in the logo.

He had a great time with it too. Especially the part where we woke him up, took off his other outfit, slapped this onesie on him and snapped a bunch of pictures.

He loved it.

baby_billboard2.jpg

Yep. Loved every second of it.

So there it is. Some companies try to sell you with sex. We use adorableness. Now go buy a shirt, or the baby will cry. You don’t want the baby to cry… do you?

(we also use guilt)

Shirts will be in the store soon available in all sizes, yes, all of them. Here’s a preview of the first, and as of yet only shirt design. It’s not the fall that shirts

Tomorrow’s going to be a full day of shirt making/record producing so we can have the shirts and soundtrack available on Tuesday as hoped.

Let me know what you think of the design. The kid who did it is constantly suffering from crippling self-doubt.

If you think Several Ways to Die Trying was good, wait until you see all the stuff we’re making to go along with the DVD release. This morning my doorstep was graced with the Speedball Super Value Screen Printing Kit that I ordered from Pearl Paint. Meaning tomorrow I get to go through the process of trying to make a silk screen for shirts. I’ve never actually done this before but I’m both fairly artistic and intelligent so it should go well. Meaning there should be shirts to order within the week!

Buttons are also on their way. Jill Finnegan (the aforementioned new love of my life) claimed two of the last 4 original promotional buttons but more are on the way!

What’s more, Filmkid is even branching out into record producing- sort of. The soundtrack will be available to download for the low-low price of $12 starting Tuesday! Not only do you get the 11 songs featured in the movie but you also get sweet virtual cover art and liner notes. The latter even includes a special message from our friend and music supervisor Eric Smith. All the money from the soundtrack goes right to the bands (except for one dollar, which I’m selfishly keeping for things like order processing and credit card fees. I know, I’m a miser.) So if you dig the music, buy the soundtrack and help support the bands. That way they can keep making more music. Everyone wins.

To top it all off the Filmkid Store is now accepting credit cards and checks directly. It’s even easier to give us your money now! So if the fact that you don’t have a PayPal account was the only thing holding you back from placing a pre-order stop being a baby and head over to the store and order a copy of fifty(just don’t be greedy, we’re only getting 1000 made up so make sure there’s enough for everybody)

So check out the store and help us help you.

That’s the release date, kids. Officially. Just (barely) in time for Christmas. How does one celebrate this date? Why coming to the Several Ways to Die Trying DVD Release Party, of course. Details to follow, but it’s going to be a good time. Live music, drinks, Dan might even wear that Firefox of his from the movie. Who knows, he might even take it off and throw it on the floor and start typing something.
